She didn’t discover this philosophy. She inherited it.

Sherri Holzer is a speaker and author whose work explores what happens when capable, responsible people become so good at taking care of everything around them that they begin postponing their own experience of life.

Growing up in a first-generation Greek-American family, Sherri learned around her grandmother’s table that gathering people, nourishing what matters, creating with what was available, and savoring ordinary moments weren’t luxuries reserved for perfect circumstances.

Sherri is the author of Everything But the Kitchen Dink, founder of Simply Sherri, and a 2026 Enterprising Women in Commerce Industry Honoree.

Through relatable storytelling and the Gather • Nourish • Create • Savor framework, Sherri helps audiences recognize what they’ve quietly postponed—and identify one meaningful action they’re ready to take.

The workshop takes the keynote from recognition into application.

Participants identify something they’ve been postponing, explore it through Gather, Nourish, Create, and Savor, and leave with a specific next step.

WHEN THIS WORK MATTERS MOST

What doesn’t have to wait for everything else to settle down?

One project ends and another begins. Teams change. Expectations shift. For capable, responsible people, it’s easy to keep making the same quiet agreement: I’ll get back to that when things calm down.

Sherri helps people recognize what they’ve made conditional on their circumstances—and identify what is still possible while work and life are unfolding.

Work doesn't always settle down.

Why this matters at work

Organizational or leadership change

Periods of sustained demand

Team growth or transition

Company or department gatherings after a demanding season

"Our team left that room different. Not just inspired—actually different. Sherri has a way of making people feel permission to slow down and reconnect."
I didn't expect to feel so at ease with people I'd just met. By the end of the night it felt like we'd known each other for years. That's Sherri's gift.

I've sat through a lot of corporate wellness talks. This was the first one that made me emotional. She says what everyone is quietly feeling but nobody names.
